Me, a leader?

KaylynnKaylynn didn’t consider herself as leader.  However this winter things began to change.  In January, Jacob Fisher, Bemidji State University staff, invited her to become an apprentice.  Kaylynn has taken every opportunity to take a risk.  She began by talking with people at our proxe station about new years resolutions. A proxe station gives students a chance to interact with God’s story via an interactive art display.  She was scared, but after watching us lead several students through the station, she ventured out and had her first conversation. It was a success!  The person was interested in Jesus and interested in InterVarsity. Later that week she and Jacob visited him in his dorm room where they invited him to go to a movie.  They had a great time and later that week he came to a small group Bible study.

Kaylynn is an apprentice but she is already becoming a leader.  She is responding to God’s invitation to take a risk.  She is in the process of trying to launch a new small group Bible study in her dorm.

Thank you for your partnership in helping us empower students like Kaylynn to realize their potential as leaders in the kingdom!
